Review: Ridgemont Hiking Boots

 Asked to give Ridgemont's "The Monty Hi" a try for a review the product, I was happy to comply. These were perfect for my 7 day hiking vacation at WellFit Malibu. 

Here's what I like about this particular boot:

• It's light weight with ankle support and heal stabilizers to help with balance and comfort making this a good fit for day hikes.
• The Monty is rugged and yet is shaped nicely and comes in color combos (mine was a brown/orange which I love) where it is still stylish and can worn in urban environments and as well as for other adventures.
• Material-wise, the high-grade nylon and oiled suede is a nice combo both structurally and aesthetically.

What took a little getting used to:

• It a few wears to break in and also to get the laces to loosen up a bit so I didn't have to unlace or loosen up all the laces down to the toe box. Just have a little patience breaking them in and you'll find these are good-looking comfortable shoes for what ever suits - walking the dog, a hike in Malibu, to alternate with other travel shoes...or whatever floats your boat..

All in all, The Monty is a light weight hiking shoe with a class look that I'm very happy with.
